“If I had to choose only one…”

If I had to choose one bible verse to read and meditate on for the rest of my life, it would have to be 2 Corinthians 5:21, For He […God…] made Him […Jesus…] who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him […in Jesus…].

When I think of who I used to be in comparison to who I am now, who I am in Jesus Christ…I am overwhelmed with gratitude and amazed at the goodness and mercy of God to have rescued me from the wretched state in which I once lived!  In Jesus Christ…our sins have been blotted out and, as a result, times of refreshing have come.  When we receive Jesus into our lives…we are made righteous!

When I consider, that because of this profound truth, I am able lift  up holy and righteous hands in worship, hands which were once stained with sin, I am in awe at what a great and glorious God we have!
