Jesus, the Great High Priest

Truth for LifeI recently listened to two studies by Alistair Begg that were absolutely amazing.  I found these especially beneficial as we have been reading through the Book of Leviticus.  Begg does and tremendous job of connecting the Book of Hebrews to Leviticus.

He speaks of three things that the sacrifice of these animals reveals to us.  If you keep these things in mind, you will never have to trudge through Leviticus again.  Instead, you will find great joy in considering the riches the Lord had for us as He inspired Moses to write what he wrote.

  1. To let everyone know that forgiveness is costly.
  2. To let everyone know that the punishment due to sin is death.
  3. To make absolutely clear that without the shedding of blood there can be no remission and forgiveness of sin.

Take some time to listen to these teachings.  You will be richly blessed.

  1. Alistair Begg is one fantastic speaker … thank you for suggesting these teachings. How very true “ignorance breeds confusion”! Not that I am no longer ignorant, but I am less confused.
